My Top 5 Sources of News and Information

In our current world, there are an infinite number of sources we can get information from and utilize on a daily basis. However, many people tend to gravitate toward just a few. I can confidently say that I fall under this category as I regularly utilize only a few sources to get information from. The following paragraphs will touch on my top 5.

1. https://www.foxnews.com/

Despite receiving a considerable amount of criticism for being a hyper-partisan right source, I find Fox News to be one of the most level grounded and least biased sources around. I use Fox News daily to keep up with current events, politics, and any other form of world news. I am especially utilizing it now to keep up with everything leading up to the 2024 Presidential Election in November.

2. https://www.youtube.com/

Before I go to bed at night, I often spend time perusing around YouTube. Most of the time, videos from different news sites (local news stations, Inside Edition, Entertainment Tonight, ABC News) pop up. I obviously don't spend all my time on those videos, but I do view some of them, especially if they're short.

3. https://www.espn.com/

As an avid sports fan, I utilize ESPN on a daily basis. Most of my time on the site is spent checking scores, reading articles, looking at upcoming matchups, and watching game highlights. ESPN doesn't necessarily deal with world news and politics like the first two sources above, but my whole life shouldn't be devoted to that either.

4. https://www.cbssports.com/

Similar to ESPN, I use CBS Sports for more information on sports. CBS Sports does a lot more mock drafts and power rankings so I opt for CBS Sports over ESPN when I am looking for those specifically. I find ESPN to be a better sports site in general, however.

5. https://www.instagram.com/

As the fifth and final source on this list, I use Instagram the least out of the five sources. I use Instagram mostly for connecting with others and socializing with friends. However, I do follow the news sites above on Instagram and the posts they make regularly appear on my feed. They obviously don't go as in-depth as the actual articles on the site, but they still serve as quick information that I can obtain about what's happening in the world.
